Hello
I've got a community matron!
At last I think something resembling co-ordinated care is appearing.
My rheumatologist is a good man, clever and handsome and a good man. An appointment with him is rarer than hens teeth and his team are not very accessible either. Theres a stand off between his dept and the gp and the gp will not take responsibilty for the drugs rheumatology provide and will not monitor etc
I'm also in and out of hosp a lot as the ra is hellish
So this matron came to visit and is going to help. She's going to be meeting the rheumatology dept and thinks she can set up an mdt meeting (good luck on that one then!!)
Do think that she is going to be a helpful person though.
She can get up to 6 days nursing care in here to help prevent the need for admission as necessary for a start

Have you heard of them?
My gp put me onto them
I thought of people like Doreen and hen and annemarie who could do with perhaps more input support at home.
